| bree street cottages undergo an upgrade |
The
character cottages at the top end of Bree Street 215 to 231 Bree and a
portion of Watson and Orphan Streets, which were recently sold by
Swindon Properties, are on the cards for a well deserved up- grade, says
Andrew Dewey of Swindon Property Services who is assisting with the
letting management and tenant mix.
The area is scheduled to receive a new landscaped façade which will turn these once historic office & residential cottages into a new node for niche retail tenants. A tree- lined avenue with cobble- stoned walk ways and well presented signage will set the scene for a unique retail experience.
Already in place is an upmarket hair salon and interior design outlet with negotiations for an upmarket restaurant/deli underway.
Above one can see the type of features that will form part of this retail precinct with the suggested name of ‘The Bree Street Quarter’ work is scheduled to commence within the next month.
The architects ‘About Space’ under Andre De Villiers are confident that the alterations to the buildings and landscaping will create an environment that will draw customers looking for an upmarket retail experience encompassing a good mix of decor, food, fashion and beauty.
There are still a few cottages / shops available ranging from 122sqm to 240sqm at rental form R65/sqm to R100/sqm plus VAT so please contact Andrew Dewey of Swindon for more information on 021 422 0778 or deweya@swinprop.com
